美國2007年11 月第四個星期四是Thanksgiving Day, 原意是感謝上天賜予的好收成，像我們的中秋節，在這一天不管多忙都要和家人團圓。感恩節前夕的教會，常可以看到美國女人頭戴古代村姑的布帽、男生圍著黑色方巾，應景慶祝，敘說舊時代印地安人幫助新移民清教徒度過寒冬，學習這塊新大陸的生存方式。
今年結交的一個Buddy S (Irish man)，我們都覺得當初政府強調感恩節的快樂及友好，緣由應該是帶有統治意義，不過，這樣大肆慶祝對於印地安人其實並不公平，讓人們完全忘記白人對印第安人做過的剝削與屠殺。
佛州其實充滿印地安文化背景(Ais, the Apalachee, the Calusa, the Timucua and the Tocobago tribes)，到處的路們都是很難唸出口印地安語英文拼英，例如首都Tallahassee，連接該市市中心的Apalachee Rd。 Tallahassee的市中心更是位在高低起伏的山丘地上，地形好比舊金山，忽高忽低的，在這裡騎講踏車算是一種挑戰，到超市買個東西，開車五至十分鐘的路途，但騎腳踏車可是要翻山越嶺。探究原因發現，這城市是從印地安人部落演變而來，丘陵地易守難攻，在過去的時代自然成為首選。
My Buddy家住在佛州的南部，感恩節還邀我到他家去玩，這算是我人生最過最酷的事，感覺就是跟老外一起過年，但有趣的事，台灣人講長幼有序，吃團圓飯安安靜靜的，老外則是七嘴八舌聊成一塊，年輕的有時還會調侃年紀大的。總之，Irish man煮飯的功力真的不是蓋的，我也Grand Pap, Grand Mom到處叫。
Jimmy Buffet是S很愛的一個歌手，他說Buffet 寫的歌詞常寫出男人內心很有趣的事。Margaritaville，加上S很愛航海，自然是酷愛這個歌手的調性。
感覺上Margaritaville是Jimmy Buffet最紅的一首歌，他自己好像也很愛這首歌，還架了一個網站http://margaritaville.com 兼賣帶有海洋度假氣息的個人商品。
在感恩節的周末，我們往返佛州狂飆了300多英里，MARGARITAVILLE時常出現在廣播中。還記得兩個王老五到Palm Beach港邊喝著小酒、啃三明治時，路邊駐唱的歌手們，竟不約而同的唱了這首歌，有趣極了。
